The leather-trimmed 42 mm BL model looks especially elegant and is reminiscent of the legendary binoculars and cameras which made Leica famous. The leather trim allows its weight to be under 700 grams (24.7 oz).
LEICA ULTRAVID 8 x 42 BL
The 8x42 BL offers a 130 m (389 ft) field of view with 8x magnification, rendering images rich in contrast during the day and at twilight.
LEICA ULTRAVID 10 x 42 BL
The highest magnification for binoculars of the 42mm Ultravid series. The newly designed eyepiece cup provides an especially comfortable eye position. This is especially noticeable via improved steadiness when viewing over long distances. These high magnification binoculars are equipped with newly developed eyepieces designed for those wearing glasses - similar to the 10 x 42 BR model.
Magnesium and titanium are the strengths of the 50 mm, 42 mm, and 32 mm Ultravid lightweights. A housing manufactured completely out of magnesium and the articulated axle made of high-strength titanium guarantee a long service life and make possible the ultra lightweight body of the Ultravid. Easy to use and fabulous to look at: the newly designed central focusing device is an outstanding functional achievement. Technical precision is hidden in the most compact space. This new scale facilitates easy reading of the diopter values and the large focus wheel is easy to use. The extremely short focusing path of slightly more than one rotation allows the optimum point of focus to be found quickly.
